You Are My Father

Almost everyone I know is trying to find-out who they are. Most are not happy yet with where they are, so they press, work, struggle, and try to advance, some even manipulating, lying, cheating, stealing, and so forth to get ahead or whatever it is they are chasing. Well, if they only knew that they have an absolutely awesome Father and that He is completely smitten with them JUST THE WAY THEY ARE! Often, when we were very young and cute, our mothers and fathers would fawn over us and say sweet nothings and give us praise and affection, and we often felt simply wonderful and joyful. Well, what happened? IT DOESN’T REALLY MATTER. WHY? Because we have a Father Who ALWAYS thinks we are the cat’s meow. He knows how life works. People can’t learn to talk, walk, or ride a bike without falling short. Making mistakes is an integral part of this life. NOTHING surprises our Father. His love abides. Nothing we can do or say will ever change His mind. He sees us as precious, lovely, even innocent. May as well try hard to get your head around that now. When you see Him face to face and He lavishes His love and affection and praise on you, you do not want to be surprised and look like a fool. Just embrace it now! I NO LONGER CARE ABOUT WHAT THE CHURCH OR THE GOVERNMENT OR YOUR PARENTS OR SPOUSE OR CHILDREN OR FRIENDS TELL YOU OR ME. HE LOVES US LIKE CRAZY….JUST THE WAY WE ARE! WOW! WHAT A RELIEF! LOVE TURNS OUT TO BE ALL LOVE!
