How is it that Jesus worked so hard to show us all how lovely, wonderful, sweet, precious, and even innocent all people are, and yet, after all the theologians got done with his life and words, we all get told what terrible sinners we are and how we crucified Jesus with our sins? Jesus said clearly that no one takes his life away from him, certainly not us. He died for one reason only, to show us that death does not exist. Didn’t he rise from the grave and show himself to hundreds of people…to show us that we are eternal spirits that live forever. Most Christians remain scared to death of dying. How did they miss the lesson? We don’t die! Yes, we do leave these earth suites, these clothes we are wearing, which have served us well, but when we leave them behind, all us us leaves, 100% of each of us leaves, since we are not our bodies, though we are here on our missions to be in a body, for awhile. God sees us as innocent and precious. There are dozens of places in Scriptures where that is stated clearly. God is beyond taking offense at anything we do or say. LOVE TAKES NO OFFENSE. God dwells in Community in white-hot joy that is perfect joy. It cannot be diminished and it cannot even be increased. He calls us daily to enter into that joy, but we are afraid and are convinced we are unworthy, even when He proclaims we are worthy and precious and lovely. We protest “What about all the mistakes I have made?” God says, “Nobody learns to walk without falling down, or to ride a bike without skinning a knee or hitting someone, or to use a pencil without breaking the point. Life is a journey, and I AM with you the whole trip! Let’s enjoy the ride and stop to pick someone up, on occasion. :)”

At 81, I have so much to share and so little time, so I have packed my thoughts into songs. I love sharing my songs and my thoughts about the meaning of these songs. I hope you do too. Sometimes, I just write without a song. I hope I have something worthwhile to say:).
